Quote #1

“I was actually commissioned by Reid Hoffman and Constantin Gurley to write LinkedIn’s first book.

So we were the publishers of LinkedIn’s first book. So I’m familiar with it, with what it’s doing, where it’s going, the acquisition, all that, and For a long time I’ve been thinking about writing a LinkedIn newsletter, and I just executed the launch very recently.”

Quote #2

“Topic. Super cool. It’s called Staying Relevant. My primary focus is on credibility. And so, you know, it, I don’t use the word credibility in there, but it’s credibly staying relevant. So what do you have to do today in, in the pivot point we are in, in the world, and I was under the impression, uh, or I set the goals for myself and, uh, and that.

I’d be happy if I got a hundred subscribers. Right? And so, you know,  I was gonna do it Wednesday morning and I said, oh no, let’s wait. And I did it Thursday morning and, and about an hour into it, I had 200 subscribers and I’m like, oh, maybe I should change my expectations. So we ended up getting, uh, over a thousand on day one.

A week later we’re close to 2000, and I just. Shared my next article. And what’s nice, James, what’s nice about this is my big focus in life is on credibility and for us as humans, to live life more credible and as corporations to instill an idea of credibility and culture of it inside the company.”

Quote #3

“Before Mark Andreessen put Mosaic on top of the internet and all of a sudden we started seeing it and, and when 50 million users in the US first started using the internet, oh my god, it’s real. So what I’m gonna say is chat. GPT is the mosaic of ai, right? Chat, GPT allowed us to see what AI can do. It’s possible that chat, GPT will have the same fate as Mosaic, right?

Companies still out there made good deals, but it’s not the big brand. Open AI may produce other things that, produce value. The point is, though, for us who are listening to this right now, tomorrow’s gonna be different than today. And how can you stay relevant? And,  that’s basically the, the topic  I’m personally exploring as we all should,  for the clients I work with.”

Quote #1

First of all, what if it all goes right, what do we do at the end of that? Isn’t it fantastic? The title alone snagged me the minute I saw it, and I hadn’t even heard the melody or the chorus yet, so I knew that was the song  Was that in Nashville, Nashville, Tennessee?

Yes, it’s Sound Emporium Studio. I was so honored. It was written by amazing writers in Nashville. I was pitched a lot of music When we went into the song searching project a thousand songs, my a and r manager went through to bring down to a couple hundred that went to my producer and myself to weed through pitch sessions virtually.

Quote #2

We definitely have a different flow. I born and raised up in the LA area. I know what you’re talking about. We still are up there to visit all the time. Family all lives up in the LA area, and then we come back to San Diego and it’s okay. I can breathe. Yeah, you pay to live here, but boy, I can breathe. Yeah.

Quote#3

I was always singing, started singing at the age of three, started playing piano at the age of three. I was singing in cover bands. I grew up in the worship bands and the church choirs, school choirs, all of those things. So music was always the core root of my passion and my being. But, And as anything else, we have to provide.

We have to make a living and we have to do it well. And sales and real estate and mortgage really did that for me.

390. Taking the 3-$90 $ Million CEO earners to their next adventure with Cassie Shea!

Cassie Shea, Co-Founder of Powerhouse Leaders HQ comes from deep roots on Hope Avenue in Santa Barbara, California.

Growing up in the corporate world gave her the chance to climb up the ladder fast before she pivoted to entrepreneurship.

Now, Cassie and business partner Brooke help CEOs looking for a change – those who don’t know where to start or how to pivot.

Prediction: in 10+ years, everyone will be a solopreneur and contracting out part time at various companies.

The W2 employee model is dying, fast.

Imagine if you could get paid (more) to do only the work you love, while filling the exact need a company has.

After talking to hundreds of people about this, I found the common thread is “I don’t know what my business would be.”

My take?

You already have skills to monetize, you’re just not connecting the dots.

If you aren’t sure what your biz idea would be, here’s the best way to get started:

1. Inventory your super skills (what you’re better at than anyone else)

2. Do some research on how others have monetized their skills in the knowledge economy

3. Dissect the research into categories, and look for patterns

4. Figure out your key values (in life, not just biz)

5. Map how your values align to having an online business (what’s your why)

6. Take a stab at creating one biz idea from scratch

7. Tell everyone you know, and a bunch of people you don’t know

8. See if you get any bites of interest

9. Learn from what everyone says (what questions they ask, what doesn’t make sense to them, what parts do resonate)

10. Learn how to create an offer based on what you learn and get paid to test it (my fave step = getting paid to do your ongoing market research)

We’re taught for so long to learn skills to get promoted and get raises in a traditional job.

I’m passionate about helping you figure out how to do this and make more money for you (and, sometimes that’s a raise in combo with a new income stream).

You don’t have to leave corporate to do this. It’s not all or nothin’.

You can start today.

If you’d like help figuring out what online business would work for you, DM me “biz plan” and I’ll share how I’ve worked with people to go from “I don’t know what I’d do” to full plan in 2 hours.
