Olivia Chadwick gives us a deep dive at what is coming up in the full interview about helping women take a new approach to health and the relationship with mind/body.
Olivia is a very skilled mentor and coach and does some really unique counseling for women who need to understand how valuable they are!
Olivia is a Mental Performance Coach with 17 years of experience supporting my clients to flourish through fitness. Her fascination with physiology and anatomy led me to complete a degree in Kinesiology and my certification in Pilates to educate and coach others on the power of movement.
After working with hundreds of clients one-on-one and in groups it has become painfully apparent that nobody is truly experiencing the wellbeing often associated with fitness. The truth is we only focus on the physical, in large part, due to our societal entrenchment in diet culture.
This revealed to Olivia that helping others requires an understanding of the body and the mind, which led her to return to academics to complete her Master’s in exercise psychology and contemplative studies.
Her research explored how we can cultivate compassion and acceptance towards ourselves in the context of exercise. Can we paradoxically work towards improving ourselves and our lives while also learning how to accept, enjoy and even love exactly who we are right now?
Today, her belief is yes! With exercise becoming a driving force for healthy self-care that acts as a life-line to a great life. This journey has led Olivia to her mission to empower women to live free of diet culture to experience greater personal fulfillment and life satisfaction!
