Have you Connected with your Gratitude this week?

September 21st, It’s gratitude week! In life, there’s a lot to be grateful for. Despite everyone talking and posting all over the internet about gratitude, about how they practice it, giving tips on how to be grateful; the real question is, do they really practice it? Is it something that they feel?

Well for me, gratitude is something that I practice on a daily basis. From the amazing beauty of nature to the very breath in my body, and the perfect health condition, all this and so much more are some of the things that fill my heart with joy and gratitude.

Unfortunately, many of us take it all for granted. One thing you can do to be more grateful every day is to start a gratitude journal. Include daily statements of what you appreciate and are thankful for. There’s no wrong or right way to go about it. Consistently write down what you are grateful for on a daily basis, and I assure you it will put a smile on your face every single day.

World gratitude day, allows both individual citizens and organizations within wider societies to celebrate the broad meaning of gratitude in a variety of ways. So let’s do this, let’s help each other, with information, with resources, with advice. Let’s all be grateful together!

The History of World Gratitude Day

It started in 1965 in Hawaii, when an international gathering decided it would be a good idea to have one day per year to formally express gratitude and appreciation for the many things to be found in the world. The hope of the founders of World Gratitude Day is that by taking time, one day a year, to reflect on the amazing things we have in our lives, it would positively impact our well being and make us happier, more contented people. How to celebrate?

Gratitude is something you can find any minute of the day. All that matters is the mindset because, to be honest, it’s the simple things in life that we forget to be grateful for every day that matter. Simply having a roof over your head, and a bed to sleep in, that’s what matters.

So many people lack the basic necessities to live a comfortable life, there are blocks of homeless people all over the streets of America. A nation that’s endowed with resources, and somehow, so many people are suffering. What’s my answer to all of this? Doing my small part. If I can help that needy person who is right in front of me at that very minute, if I can impart some kind of loving gesture or kindness to that person, then I’ve made a difference. If we can all play our small parts, that’s how we send big waves into motion.

But is one day nearly enough? Well, I don’t think so. I think it’s something we should do every day, in our lives and in our hearts. From when we wake up, to when we go to sleep, in our thoughts, and in our actions, in our conversations, and in our reflections. That’s how we cultivate a culture of gratitude in your lives. In the episode.

Find out why September is such an amazing month. Can we do without the four seasons? Listen to the title track from my album “Gratitude” Be blessed!
